There is a lot of confusion around QuickBooks Desktop availability, so here is a clear answer: Desktop software (Pro Plus, Premier Plus) still exists and is still fully supported — what changed is how Intuit sells new subscriptions directly.

What Changed

Intuit stopped selling new Pro Plus and Premier Plus subscriptions directly to new customers after mid-2024, pushing most new buyers toward QuickBooks Online instead. Existing Desktop subscribers can keep renewing, and QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is still sold new directly by Intuit.

What This Means If You Want Desktop

Desktop software itself has not been discontinued or shut down — it still runs, still gets support, and is still the right tool for many businesses that prefer local software over a monthly cloud subscription. The gap Intuit created is on the new-customer sales side, which is where authorized resellers like us come in: we provide genuine Pro Plus and Premier Plus activations as a one-time purchase instead of a forced subscription.

What About Enterprise?

QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise was not affected by this change and continues to be sold as new licenses, in Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers.

Bottom Line

If you specifically want Desktop software rather than Online, it is still very much available — you just need the right source. Browse our current Desktop and Online editions, or ask us on WhatsApp if you are unsure what is still purchasable.
